An AI editing studio for YouTube channels.
ShortsMaker is our in-house production system. It turns long source videos into YouTube Shorts and long-form edits — transcripts, scene cuts, captions, narration and rendering — with AI agents doing the editing work and people doing the final review.
What we build
Shorts & long-form editing
One source becomes several vertical Shorts and longer cuts, each with its own story arc, captions and pacing.
Channel presets
Every channel has its own template, caption style, voice and editing rules, applied the same way on every piece.
Quality gates
Automatic checks for frame jumps, caption placement, loudness and zoom rhythm run before anything reaches a reviewer.
Review & scheduling
Finished pieces arrive as review cards. Approved videos go to a scheduled upload queue per channel.
Channel management partnerships
We also work with other channel operators and run their channels together with them — editing, publishing schedules and uploads on our pipeline, while the owner keeps final approval.
How it works
- 1 · IntakeA source video and a channel are registered as a production request.
- 2 · UnderstandSpeech-to-text, scene detection and audio analysis build a timeline of the source.
- 3 · Edit planClaude agents write the edit plan: which moments to use, in what order, with what captions and narration.
- 4 · Render & checkThe plan is rendered locally on GPU, then checked frame by frame against the channel's rules. Claude fixes what fails.
- 5 · Human reviewAn editor approves or sends a revision memo; revisions loop back to step 3.
Built on Claude
Claude Code coordinates editing workers, writes edit plans and keeps channel rules consistent across pieces.
Claude reads rendered frames and timelines to catch defects before a person sees them.
Claude maintains the pipeline itself — fixing code, writing tests and documenting what it learned.
The company
JJ Company (제이제이컴퍼니) is a small media company in Incheon, Republic of Korea, founded in April 2026. We run our own YouTube channels and built ShortsMaker because editing by hand could not keep up with the number of channels we publish to.
We also partner with other channel operators: we take on the editing and day-to-day operation of their channels — production, scheduling and uploads — and they review and approve what goes out.
We are self-funded. Claude is the core of the system: it plans the edits, reviews the output and maintains the code. Our next step is to make the same workflow available to other creators who run several channels.
